Electromagnetism and Modern physics - continued
This is a busy term! We will finish our coverage of the 6 credit external about Electromagnetism.
For NCEA level 2: Electricity generation, static electricity, magnetic fields, electric circuits.
For NCEA level 3: Capacitors, inductors and LCR circuits.
Once we know it all we will move to the weird world of modern physics, which follows a chronological order of discoveries from the late 19th century onwards.
For NCEA level 2: Radioactivity, models of the atom, discoveries of several particles.
For NCEA level 3: the photoelectric effect, the birth of quantum mechanics and a bit of special relativity.
