This is a study of number patterns and how they can be used in real life situations.
It is internally assessed by Achievement Standard – AS 91258 – worth 2 credits.
Algebra skills from Level 1 are useful in this topic but not essential. Be prepared to work hard as this is a step up from Level 1.
A graphics or scientific calculator is essential. Please do not come without one.

This course runs all term and after the completion of the above topic we will study NETWORKS

Mathematical networks record, organise and present information for analysis. Networks can be used to model such things as transport routes and cabling systems.
This topic is assessed by the internal AS - 91260 - worth 2 credits.
A scientific or graphics calculator is essential.
