8 Photography

Prerequisite: A level two visual art course or negotiation with a visual art
learning advisor prior to entry.

For Level Three Photogaphy you will work independently to establish a
proposition, explore and investigate this visually, then develop, extend and
regenerate your ideas. You will be required to investigate a range of Photography
from contemporary and traditional art making practices. This is to inform and
challenge your own work. This course is based around making a sequential
body of work that is suitable for submission for Level Three Achievement

Standards. All your work this year will be integrated and can be used as evidence towards either a three panel A1 size folio which is a focus an expectation and conclusion of this course. This is externally assessed and worth 14 credits. You may also submit evidence for AS 3.5, Produce a resolved work that demonstrates purposeful control of skills appropriate to a visual arts cultural context (AS91460) Credits: 4 Internally Assessed

Achievement standards are optional and by negotiation. Level Three Scholarship is available by negotiation. You will have opportunities to curate and exhibit your work within the school, on line and

There will be costs for the purchase of x3 A1 folio boards (cost to be
confirmed of $18.00 approx.) Photography folios need to be printed off site. This can cost anything between $40 -$100 depending on which outlet you use and the size of the images being printed.

Level three internal credits will be assessed on completion of the course.

NB: All work must be observed in progress by an art learning advisor
and must be the student’s own work only.
