Why do we have seasons? Why is it the winter season now in New Zealand, and summer in the Northern Hemisphere? Why does it get colder as we move away from the equator and towards the poles? Why does the moon go through phases? Why do we have tides?

We'll find answers to these questions as we study the movement of our solar system's planets and moons (focusing on Earth and our moon) around our sun.

This course will prepare students for an internal assessment (Science 1.15 AS90954), if they so choose.

This is a four week course, running only in Term 3.1.
