We will be looking at the Graphs relevant to the Algebra we have just finished. Having done Level L1 graphs is important and Level 2 Algebra is essential. Students find this the hardest of the Level 2 Maths papers but it is needed for the next topic of Calculus and also necessary to anyone contemplating level 3 Calculus or wanting to go on to Science, Engineering or Economics for tertiary education.
The exam is internal and 4 credits but will also be part of the external Algebra and Calculus exams.
The course is about modelling situations graphically and using the Algebra to draw and to analyse the graphs. A graphics calculator is a real advantage and a graphics package on the computer (such as Grapher) will also be very useful.
