Blood Sports (not really) - martial arts and self defence basics
In a safe and controlled environment, let's develop skills in martial arts for confidence and self-defence. Wrestling, Jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing.
The first martial art session will be learning about the different martial arts and the respect involved in interacting with your peers. In this class, you will be learning about a range of different combat options. There will be no intentional striking to harm but we will learn techniques to help develop fitness and self-defence. This is to be a safe and respected environment for people to learn at their own pace with the help of other students that have a background in some of the disciplines. In all of these classes, you will be in physical contact with other students and/or instructors to help with technical knowledge. In most cases you will be working with a buddy your own size.
