Daughters Of Heaven
Link to Course Overview
This term is an assessment based unit of work where you will research and carry out a performance of “Daughters of Heaven” in front of an invited audience of family.
You will explore and develop your characters using ensemble and Stanislavski techniques. You will commit to the rehearsal process by memorising your lines by the deadlines set, attending rehearsals, and participating positively in the whole process.
Daughters of Heaven, by Michelanne Forster, centres around the infamous true story of Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme, two young girls from Christchurch, whose obsessive friendship led them to beat Pauline's mother to death with a half of a brick in a stocking.
You need to be comfortable in the spotlight and will be working at NCEA L2/3 curriculum levels.
