The Cooking Community II
“Food is not just about fuel. Food is about family, food is about community, food is about identity. And we nourish all those things when we eat well.”- Michael Pollan
This course will explore how to embrace the values of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga through food! We will look at how to build relationships within the community by preparing and sharing foods, while exploring traditions surrounding foods from around the world!
We will get heaps of practice in the kitchen while making delicious snacks and meals that are perfect for sharing!
Keep in mind that no devices will be allowed in the kitchen, and very little use in the classroom. There will be high expectations for responsibility, behaviour and trust in this class both in and out of the kitchen.
If you are interested in learning new skills and recipes, come join the fun!
