In workshops that utilise learning in the community students will subsequently create planned recounts that include;

1) Planning scaffolds.
2) Compound and complex sentences.
3) Correct early punctuation.
4) Paragraphs that express a single idea.

Students will participate in specific writing workshops concurrently in the HB four days a week and on Seesaw to build these skills across the term.
Students will also participate in specific punctuation workshops to hone these skills.

In workshops that support the development of rich, detailed language with specific vocab students will create an imaginative scenario of caring for dragons. This will encompass:
1) simple list-making.
2) labelling and extended to explanation.
3) simple narratives becoming more complex for level 2 writers.

These fiction workshops will include
1) Planning scaffolds.
2) Compound and complex sentences.
3) Correct early punctuation.
4) Paragraphs that express a single idea and paragraphs that link for level 2 writers.

Students will participate in specific writing workshops concurrently in the HB four days a week and on Seesaw to build these skills across the term.
Students will also participate in specific punctuation workshops to hone these skills.

Students will also create complimentary sculptures and artwork that supports the development of dragon inspired writing.
