This course is designed for serious students of music, who have an interest in music and already play an instrument and/or sing, but aren't yet ready (or willing...) to sit NCEA assessments in music.
We will be studying a wide range of music from around the world, and using a mix of practical exercises, worksheets, on-line resources, group exercises and class discussions. In term one, most exercises will be LA directed, but there will also be a self-directed component.
This course will be co-taught by Matt and Shaun.

INSTRUMENT and STATIONARY REQUIREMENTS
Unfortunately, Ao Tawhiti does not provide an instrumental hire program, so all students will need to provide their own musical instrument in order to take this course. You will also need:

A device for accessing the internet and completing exercises on-line.
Pens and pencils.
A 40-leaf clear-file folder for music and worksheets.
An A4 refill pad and folder
