This course is mainly project based and aims to develop students into independent thinkers and learners who are able to drive their own learning experiences.

Students plan their own courses focusing on those aspects of the course that they think will be of the greatest interest to them. This will then be supported by the LA who will ensure that their chosen pathway will guide them through to completing NCEA Level 2/Level 3 and UE goals.

Students can choose to do assessments in English at anytime providing they have displayed the learning and competence to do so.

Cross curricula courses are also supported.

SDL students are also supported within the framework of this class.

The duration of the course is flexible to meet the needs of the student. That is, students can join or leave this class at anytime without it impacting on their studies.
