If you play, or want to play a musical instrument, then this is the course for you! We will be looking at how to study and practice music so that you can master your instrument as quickly as possible, and enjoy playing music, both individually and as part of a music ensemble. This course will involve some whole class ensemble work (including singing and percussion exercises), some small group/ band work and some individual work. Each member of the class will develop individual musical goals, and use online resources, class handouts and exercises to work towards developing these goals to take your music to the next level.

The are no costs to this course, but some students may need to hire an instrument from a music store if we are unable to provide one. Students also will need a device to access online resources (Youtube, the Ao Tawhiti Music Website). A clearfile, a 1b5 notebook and pes/ pencils are also recommended.
