This course explores the concept of control in our lives. How much do we actually control? What else influences us and are we even aware of it? After initial whole class exploration of the key concepts of the topic and case studies of control, there is then the flexibility for students to explore topics of their own choosing such as the power of influencers, brands and advertising, societal norms, systems of government, capital punishment, how the environment controls us, or any other example of control in society.
