Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Programme

We will be using the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness programme to support our skills in phonological/phonemic awareness. These skills underpin the ability to decode new words in both isolation and text. Developing the ākonga's phonemic awareness directly supports the phonics skills that are being learnt within the reading group.
