Reporting on Grandma and her Grammar
Grammar and punctuation will be covered this term with writing bigger reports. Learn to put commas in the correct place and be reminded to put capital letter and fullstops in the correct place. Then we can write GREAT reports for radio, newspapers and magazines!
This class focusses on developing journalism skills by looking at factual writing in interesting ways to capture an audience.
Want to try your hand at journalism?
Do you want to be reporting on sports games, reviewing movies, games or music for newspapers, magazines, radio or television? Then this is the course for you.
Report writing skills are good to have in build up to essay writing in the future. We will begin by writing short news reports for radio, newspaper, television and magazines.
We will have deadlines to meet as a build up for the yearbook and we will have pieces of work written in time for the school newsletter or other Ao Tawhiti media.
