2.1 Level 4 Mathematics and Statistics
This class is for students working within Level 4.
In this class we will use a range of additive and multiplicative strategies with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages to solve number problems, building on existing knowledge to extend our learning. We will also revise material covered in Term 1 (integers, geometry etc..)
Students will need a Math book (1H5), pencil, rubber, ruler and other own stationery, including a glue stick.
Specific Objectives for Term 2:
(1) Know the equivalent decimal and percentage forms for everyday fractions.
(1) Investigate situations that involve elements of chance by comparing experimental distributions with expectations from models of the possible outcomes, acknowledging variation and independence.
(2) Use simple fractions and percentages to describe probabilities.
