Endings and beginnings: Part II
Link to Course Overview
We continue our examination of novel. You will have the opportunity to present your analysis as an oral presentation. Sometimes it's not until the very end of a book that you understand the importance of the way it started. Written texts are an important form of entertainment, critique and commentary. This course examines how written texts create meaning through formal elements such as narrative, character, theme, setting and other language features. You will learn how to read and analyse written texts with a critical eye and make judgements about the impact these texts have on the audience.
