Following on from discussions with children about their passions and interests, we offered a baking inquiry learning programme for two weeks in term 1, 2015.
We did various items of baking and included some specific skills learning around measuring, ingredient properties and decorating.
To Do List:
Pre snapshot - describe in words or pictures what children know about baking.
Brainstorm what we want to make during the inquiry.
Experiment with ingredients while making pikelets. (Sugar vs no sugar, baking powder vs no baking powder).
4 separate sessions of baking. (Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Chippies, Pizza, cup cakes).
Recipe books and Post video snapshot.
