NCEA assessment focus: Connections across texts, Level 1 4 credits, Level 2 4 credits.

This is a course where you can take control! Plan, make and print a magazine each term.

Join me to create something amazing. We will learn how to design a publication in InDesign, how to layout text and images, and plan an issue. We will visit printers, ARA journalism, booksellers and other magazine creators.

This course is open to students of all levels. However you will need the willingness to participate as a team, to give everything a go and to take risks.

In term 3, we will reflect on the design and branding of our magazine, ATmosphere. We will plan and print an issue to distribute to our community and each student will be expected to contribute a piece of work to the final publication.

Senior students will find many opportunities to achieve NCEA standards. The expectation is that students will identify assessment opportunities that are pertinent to their work production
