19 July Completed Be Safe course and completed First Aid course

22/6 Enrolled in Be Safe on line work place safety course and advised to get on to it asap and advised that it must be completed before the camp starts.

Enrolled for Gateway Lifecare Advanced First Aid course to be held on July 2nd.
This is part of the preparation for Boyle River in July.
John has sent an email to Martus outlining the First Aid Course details as below:

"The course is from 8am to 4.30pm and is located at 235 Stanmore Road, Richmond, Christchurch 8013. You should be there early at 7.45am.

Please note that you have to read the First Aid Course Resource Pack and complete the quiz mentioned below before the course day.

Please read and complete both the First Aid Course Resource Pack & Quiz prior to attending your NZQA unit standards based First Aid course with Life Care Consultants. You MUST also bring the completed quiz with you to the course. Failure to do so may incur a different certificate outcome. Note: In order to meet NZQA time requirements to be awarded unit standards, the Resource Pack & Quiz must be completed prior to attendance on the practical course.

6402 Provide basic life support - L1 - 1 credit
6401 Provide first aid - L2 1 credit
6400 Manage first aid in an emergency situation - L3 2 credits

On completion will have following Unit Standards:

425v6 Experience day tramps L2 3 credits
426v6 Experience camping L2 3 credits
1312v7 Give oral instructions in the workplace L3 3 credits
20159v2 Gather and apply weather information to an outdoor recreation activity
L2 2 credits
4573v6 Communicate in the outdoors using a two-way radio L2 1 credit
10780v5 Complete a work experience placement L1 2 credits
3490v6 Complete an incident report L1 2 credits

Note Martus has to complete the quiz John printed off for Martus before attending the First Aid course on July 2.
