“All the Belts!” - Conor McGregor - Martial Arts and Self Defence

In a safe and controlled environment lets develop skills in martial arts for confidence and self defence. The first session will be learning about the different martial arts and the respect involved in interacting with your peers. We will be using two outside providers for this tuition.

There will be no partner striking of feet or hands. You will be drilled for technique. There will be grappling so you will need to feel comfortable interacting with your peers as this is how you will be learning by doing. You will sweat and a change of clothing to workout in is needed and deodorant is advised. On occasions there could be accidental 'knocks' from the grappling as it is a tangle of arms and legs.

We will be visiting the Academy of Combat in Sydenham for four sessions. We will be focusing on leg striking and grappling for wrestling and Brazilan Jiu Jitsu.
We will walk the 15mins to the location leaving school at 1:10pm during lunch time on Mondays for four sessions to start at 1:30pm to 2:30pm. We will then walk back to school.

We will also use 1 More Round Boxing Fitness across the street from Ao Tawhiti. Here we will be working on our technique of hand striking for fitness and confidence. This will be on Wednesdays, 11:30am -12:30pm for 5 sessions.
Wednesday : 22nd July, 29th July, 5th Aug, 11th Aug, 19th Aug.
