What are the elements of a good advertisement? What are you trying to "sell"? How do you target your market?

In this term long course we answer these questions and more, studying advertisements and creating our own. As the country prepares for an election in September, we take the opportunity to get into groups and create political parties of our own. Once you have figured out how to run the country, you will create a one minute film to convince us to vote for you.

Your political group will need a device with a movie making application to create your film. If you don't have access to one, let Kate know and we'll sort something out.

Curriculum Objectives:
-Identifies oral, written and visual language features and understands their effects
-Understands how a range of text conventions work together to create meaning and effect
-Creates a visual text that demonstrates an understanding of purpose and audience through a deliberate choice of content, language and text form.

Assessment 3.1: Choose an organisation and identify and analyse its visual marketing strategies
Assessment 3.2: Make a one minute film to advertise your political party
