Support offered for students working on SDL English.

This course will alternate between a lecture style class in the first part of the week and viewing a film in the second class. Students will be introduced a range of film genres and examine how these films subvert, challenge, or resist the standard conventions of mainstream cinema.

This course will also offer support for students with their independent English pathways. Although the course is designed for 16+ Level 3 English students, ANY students who are inclined towards independent English work are welcome to join or communicate over email for support.

NOTE: Attending the film viewing section will require students to be at least 16 years old as some of the films we watch will be R16. Students under this age should have their whanau contact me.
