Drop the base: quantitative titrations
We will start Term 3 by learning how to perform titrations, an important technique to quantify substances. Titrations are used in a wide range of jobs, from wine and cheese preparation, monitoring the pH of aquatic environments, to blood sugar testing. We will also use stoichiometric principles and mathematical relationships to solve quantitative problems.
We will use our new skills to complete an internal assessment entitled "Carry out a practical investigation into a substance present in a consumer product using quantitative analysis" worth 4 credits.
