2019 Term 2 and 3 Recorder
As we did not get to the notes c, f and d last term we will be focussing on learning these notes and using them in pieces of music. We also will be learning and playing minims.
In this learning programme student will learn the basics of recorder playing which include:
Holding the recorder correctly and finger placement.
"Blowing" the recorder for correct pitch and variation.
Notes on the recorder including, b, a, g, c, d, f.
Learning about the stave and the note placement.
Quavers and crotchets, minums and semibreves.
The students will be playing as a group, learning pieces and practicing for an end of term performance.
It is expected that students will spend some of their own time practicing the recorder and their pieces.
