This course is designed for experienced musicians, wanting to achieve standards at levels two and three in music. In this course, students will negotiate their own individual assessment pathways from a range of standards and work towards them over the course of the year. In the first half of this year, we will be focusing on the 'making music' domain, and developing skills in composition, arranging, instrumentation and performance.
This course will be fun and challenging, and will require a fair bit of work outside of class time, and students at this level should be practicing on their instruments at least one hour a day, as well as receiving instrumental lessons (either privately or through the itinerant programme offered here at school).
You will need to bring: your instrument, a folder, pen and paper, manuscript paper.
