2018 term 4 Mindfulness

Students will continue to focus on developing mindfulness - the quality of paying attention in an open, balanced and curious way. We will be developing mindful bodies when we engage in stretches and an awareness of our own bodies, mindful listening focussed on a bell or ambient internal/external sounds, mindful breathing and 'heartfulness'; using intentional thoughts and cultivating positive mind states.
We will be exploring using gratitude journalling, and mindfulness exercise will be built into other contexts, such as sessions considering how we will move about the city on our Friday visits.
