Cooking on a budget
There are several factors which influence what you eat. An important one of these is cost. In this block, you will work in a group of four as a “whanau” to plan, budget for and cook meals. Each whanau will be given a budget for the course and will need to plan and cook four or five meals within that budget. You’ll leave the course with a 5-day meal plan - or more if you gather plans from other groups.

We will aim to cook on Tuesday mornings so you can eat your meal for lunch. Thursday will be our planning day.
1) There is a fee of $20 to cover the cost of ingredients. If you need help with paying this, please contact Jill in accounts who can help.
2) Due to the size of the kitchen, there is a limit of 24 students on the course.
3) This is a level 4 class aimed at years 7 and 8.
