Keeping Ourselves Safe is a programme designed by the Ministry of Education and implemented with support from an education officer from the NZ police. The majority of sessions will be led by the HB LA, who will also be present throughout the sessions run by Community Constable.

The programme is designed to up-skill students in being able to identify when their safety might be at risk, (e.g. walking home alone in the dark), how to keep safe when they meet and mix with other people, who and how to ask for help, to go on asking for help until someone does something to stop the abuse, and that it is important to make and follow personal, family and school safety rules. At the core of the programme is having students know that abuse is never okay, and never the fault of the victim.

To Do List:
students will engage in workshops led by police and Learning Advisors.
