Learning Area:

This course offers you an opportunity to make an art work or works that can be exhibited in our school, Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery's Exhibition, that is held twice a year in the foyer of the Christchurch City Council Building. You will also get the opportunity to be part of the student group who plan, publicise and arrange and hang the exhibition.
You will need to be self motivated and have a project that you would like to work on. This can be (within reason!) in any media and using any techniques. I will provide guidance and help and the group will regularly discuss and critique each others work.

There is an opportunity to earn 4 art credits for the Level 2 or 3 via the standards

Level 2 - AS 91325 - Produce a resolved work that demonstrates control of skills appropriate to cultural conventions, or

Level 3 - AS 91460 - Produce a resolved work that demonstrates purposeful control of skills appropriate to a visual arts context
