19th century physics - continued
Link to Course Overview
We will start this term with a proper practical experiment, planned and performed by the students. The experiment will require efforts and precision to obtain valid results. It will be assessed by a 4 credit internal exam in the form of a report. We will then change topic to tackle electromagnetism. Michael Faraday pioneered Electricity in the early 1800’s, and it has been a core component of Physics ever since. An understanding of Electricity, Magnetism, and how they interact is fundamental to having even the first clue about how the universe actually works. This is usually one of the toughest part of Physics at level 2 NCEA, so come prepared. It corresponds to a 6 credits external.
