Inquiry T4 - Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Community
In this Inquiry we will start off looking at all aspects of what makes us healthy. We will do this part as a HB.
Some discussions and experiences might include:
- What does being healthy mean?
- What foods are healthy?
- How much exercise do we need to do in a day?
- Making fruit kebabs together
- Getting involved with the garden
- Running some initial child led fitness workshops
After we have done the emersion stage of the inquiry we will split into interest groups of:
- Physical Activity
- Growing Food
- Cooking Food

Physical Activity Group - re-design games to make them more active and teach them to others
Physical Activity Group - work out how we can include 60 mins of fitness into our day
Physical Activity Group - find out about our heart rate and the difference between resting and active rates
Food Group - find out what makes foods healthy and unhealthy
Food Group - re-design desserts and burgers to make them healthier
Food Group - make and share some healthy food with our community
All Groups - Write instructions based on some of the things we have done
