Anatomy, Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology

In this course, which will run over the entire term, you will participate in a variety of Exercise Science practical labs. During the labs the you will relate a range of biophysical principles to various physical activities and motor skills. You will be required to complete three separate reports in which you will demonstrate your understanding of the function of the body as it relates to the performance of physical skills. Biophysical principles include: functional anatomy, biomechanics and exercise physiology.
This course is useful is you want to do Level 2 and 3 Physical Education and would be useful for training to be a physiotherapist, doctor, massage therapist and any other career that involves understanding how the body functions.
Lessons will be held at the YMCA in Bishopdale. The bus will be leaving promptly at the beginning of the lesson. Please make sure you are on time and have the correct gear.
