WHAT'S IN YOUR STUFF?
Taking common products in your household and closely exploring everything about them - where are they made? Are they tested on animals? What do the numbers on the label mean? Can we trace all the ingredients back to point of origin? How are they packaged? What does all this mean in relation to sustainability? to habitats for animals/pollution/work conditions for people who produce them? Does the reality match the advertising?
What does it really take to have that shiny new thing on your shelf at home and can you critically evaluate what you think the 'real' cost is? And does it matter to you? Then we'll look at alternatives to the products.......MAXIMUM 15 STUDENTS (priority to students who took this in 4.1) PLEASE NOTE: EVERY Tuesday is offsite adventures. Parental permission forms will need to be done (Fiona will email parents)
