Independent Historical Inquiry.2
This term-long course is designed to support students with independent inquiries for NCEA Level 1 and 2 assessments. It is essential that students have an understanding of the goals associated with the learning from term 1. Students will identify an appropriate topic, design a research plan and collect relevant information in support of an overall driving statement and a number of specific focusing questions. Setting and meeting deadlines and a critical reflection of the research process are also part of this objectives of this course. This course is a pre-requisite for students wishing to be assessed for effective presentation of historic inquiries in term 3. This is a 10 week course.
