2017 term 2 reading level 3

We will work through guided reading sessions to develop autonomy in comprehension and retell strategies.
We will use journals as a tool for reading and Hiton Ayery activities to strengthen understanding of text after group discussion.
We will work on developing Deep 5 Comprehension skills - Questioning, Visualising, tapping into Prior Knowledge, making Connections within the Text and making predictions and Hypothesis, as well as using I THINK THIS MEANS.
We will engage with independent activities to reinforce and practise skills developing in group work.
