Pythagoras, Trigonometry and Circle Geometry – cont.
We will study Pythagoras’ theorem and the use of trig ratios to solve right angled triangle problems in two and three dimensions. Following this and assessed by the same external exam in November we will study the geometry of circles.

Once this topic is completed we will begin ALGEBRA

Algebra uses variables (letters) to represent unknown numbers. Combinations of numbers and variables form terms, expressions and equations.
You will learn to simplify expressions and solve linear, quadratic and simple exponential equations.
There will be a one hour - no calculator skills test called the MCAT set by NZQA in mid September worth 4 credits.
