Autumns last day of EOTC at the Lil-Gan whare.
We spent a cruisey friday creating gluten free playdough and experimenting with colour. Autumn was involved in this whole process mixing and adding colours - following the rainbow theme that has been common throughout the week. Autumn made all the primary colours and some secondary colours, adding small amounts of red and yellow to create her vision of orange.
Autumn is off to Mummas for a time and we are looking forward to watching her continue her learning journey there.
Autumn showing her mad as skills on the d-floor <3
Autumn completed 2 seesaw activities today, doing a few maths problems as well as thinking about kindness. She picked her favourite library book (renewed twice and taken out at least 3 times) to read to Floyd. She found her little brother and told him what was going to happen, he shook his head "No Autumn!" hahaha he has heard this story more than once (at least 20 times) so her kindness changed to helping with the dishes after kai.
A slow morning for our whare, everyone rising late and staying in pj's for the best amount of time (ages).
Autumn prompted the use of the computer to do a seesaw task today, listing her must-haves for lockdown. Note the use of rainbow colours again in this task.
After completing this she had a go at The Sims, creating cute animals and "pretty ladies" while Floyd looked on adding his contributions along the way.
Late arvo the whanau ventured outside, Autumn following footsteps to the greenhouse. She found some (totallygross)Awesome bugs.
Autumn completed a Seesaw task this morning while Dad was making pancakes for morning kai. She loves remembering all the colours of the rainbow in order and has been proving her knowledge of this with her artworks.
Today Autumn completed a task on seesaw (working on sentences and reading at the same time) and sent it through for approval, you can see by the pics that young Floydie is super keen to get in on the learning.
She decided she wanted to re-purpose some of her old clothing as we went through her fabulous collection of op shop finds. Floyd and I ended up decked out in armwarmers with matching headbands and Autumns softtoy friends enjoy their new outfits.
We spent time outside on the trampoline and having a dance party in the afternoon when Dad arrived home.
Today I had a home learning day.
We started the morning off by updating the feelings board. I picked the surprised face and word card as I was surprised that we were learning from home today.
We then had story time:
The Sneetches and other stories - By Dr Seuss
We discussed the story and what it meant. The Sneetches who had stars on their bellies thought they were better than the Sneetches who didn't have stars. We talked about what we thought the story meant and how we felt about the story.
